Tough Times and Friends

Tough times never last but true friends do. As only the tough times tells you who your true friends are. I am in this situation for a while and yes I too felt that how your friendship status changes with your status. But I am still not able to decide whether this is for good or not. As in was I happier with those fake friends which would always have remained my friends. Never had these tough times and the friendship would not have been tested. Everything would have remained the way it was. The assurance of having friends was there though a wrong one but still there. You would have felt secure with the number of good friends you have and boost about their success as your own; after all they are your friends.
Or I have to be happy now as I actually got to know on whom I can rely on. So what if there are less people to talk or less people to share life but at least they are genuine and they actually care. So what if you can not relate yourself to a larger bunch but the relation will last.
Some time or other you must be in these situations where you have known their true characters. Is not it is good to know it very early in your life. Now you will be more cautious.
In the end you just want to live in dreams where you still fell the presence of all your friends and still want to call them that. And when you no longer able to do that, it hurts and it hurts badly.
